Passenger information system for TCL (Lyon)
In 2009, the public transportation network of Greater Lyon (TCL) faced two major challenges: the introduction of new lines with high services levels, and the obligation to anticipate passenger information system compliance for 2015. This double challenge was an opportunity for Attoma to offer a comprehensive approach based on the coherence of all static and dynamic information systems to enhance the legibility of services and ease of use.
The mission included the design of a network specific typeface, the definition of all symbols of the charter of signage, cartographic elements, as well as timetables and maps of Lyon’s public transportation.
By developing a comprehensive approach, the agency allows TCL to provide passengers with information ranging from the duration of trips to a global image of the network thus conveying its ability to explain, convince and reassure.
The project won the IIID Awards 2011 in the "traffic & public transport" category.
